Nike has done a series of garments using marled cotton - what is it? Marled cotton is made from marled yarn which is made by twisting single plies of different colored yarns together to create a multi-toned effect. For the Carolina Blue heathered look there are multiple similar colors of blue yarns twisted together to create the one continuous piece of yarn with multiple tones. The final product is multi-colored and often referred to as mottled. The body of this raglan sleeve tee is made using the marled yarn and then the sleeves are solid Carolina Blue yarn. The decoration is a printed Carolina under a swoosh. 50% cotton and 50% polyester.
