First how it looks and then I'll give the specs for you runners. Mostly the shoe is Carolina Blue with some white and navy for accents. The outer side has a larger white swoosh while the inside has a smaller Carolina Blue one on a navy accent area. Carolina is printed on the side of the rubber on the outer side. The interlock NC makes an appearance on the top of the shoe at the bottom of the laces. The bottom of the shoe has a pattern that makes me think of the Tar Heel argyle - not sure if that is intended or not BUT I like it. There are several reflective accents to help with visibility.
Which is the segway to the technical aspects - disclaimer I am not a runner so these are just copied from the notes provided by Nike. This shoe has responsive cushioning which provides an energized ride for everyday road running. It has dual Air Zoom units and a ReactX foam midsole. The improved engineered mesh on the upper decreases weight and increases breathability. Upgraded breathable engineered mesh upper ReactX foam midsole surrounds forefoot and heel Air Zoom units for an energized ride. Signature waffle-inspired rubber outsole for traction and flexibility Plush collar tongue and sockliner for a secure and comfortable fit. All-new ReactX foam midsole is 13% more responsive than previous React technology. Details: weight approx 297g/10.4 oz for men's size 10. Heel-to-toe drop 10mm.
